What you get

Two halls, a kitchen and plenty of parking.

The main hall

A long, handsome room under dark timber trusses, with tall windows at the gable ends. The sprung floor makes it especially good for dancing, from salsa to the foxtrot, and the small stage suits a talk or a band. New sound and lighting went in during 2026, thanks to a National Lottery grant.

The small hall

A cosy second room for a class, a committee or a small gathering. At a big party it takes the overflow: caterers, a bar, the coats.

The kitchen

A range cooker, fridge, microwave and water boiler, with crockery and cutlery for your guests.

What people use it for.

Weddings and receptions

There's room for eighty in the main hall, with a sprung floor for the first dance and the small hall for caterers and a bar.

Parties and christenings

It's easy to find, there's parking outside the door, and it is an easy room to make your own.

Classes and clubs

Fitness classes and a popular bridge club meet here already. Two rooms mean you choose the size that suits.

Shows and talks

Discos, plays, choirs and barn dances have all had the hall on its feet, and the hall now has modern sound and pictures.

The hire book

Plan your day at the hall.

Four short pages, and the trustees will have everything they need. Nothing is booked until they reply, so you can change your mind as often as you like.

What's the occasion?

What is it for?

Choose one, and the book pencils in the rest for you to change. It takes a minute or two.

Good questions.

How to find us
How much does it cost?

That depends on how much of the hall you want and for how long, so please ask. The hall is a charity and any hire helps keep it open.

Can I look round first?

Yes, please do. The trustees would be delighted to show you the hall.

Is it accessible?

The hall has disabled access and accessible toilet facilities. Tell the trustees what you need and they will talk you through the doors and rooms.

Is it warm?

It's centrally heated, and now has remote heating controls. Heating a listed building is a challenge, and grants are helping with the windows and insulation.

Where exactly is it?

Directly on the B4293, the Chepstow to Monmouth road, a little over two miles from Chepstow Racecourse. Use NP16 6BP for satnav.
