The hall's AGM was held at 9.30am on Saturday 25 April. In his report the Chairman of Trustees, Les Ashton-Smith, described a hall seeking to become a popular, community-led amenity, with events for learning, entertainment and getting together.

After a survey of local residents, the trustees have arranged many community events, including a VE celebration, a Christmas Social with mulled wine and mince pies, and a Winter Lunch in January which proved very popular. A three-month trial of a village bar night went so well that it is now monthly.

The hall has recently been connected to the internet, and a successful lottery bid has paid for new audio-visual equipment. Heating remains a difficult challenge in a Grade II listed building, but grants are helping with the windows and insulation, and remote heating controls have reduced the cost. Help is still being sought to refurbish the kitchen.

He thanked the small but enthusiastic team, and said the hall is always looking for more volunteers, for any task large or small.
